The AA Charitable Trust has agreed to support Ukrainian refugees in the UK by offering a free Drive Confident UK driving familiarisation course from AA Driving School and BSM.
The course comprises of one two-hour practical driving refresher lesson with a driving instructor in their tuition car. It is for qualified drivers who have a full driving licence and is subject to availability of instructors.
In areas where no instructor is available, applicants will be offered a free remote e-learning module, in Ukrainian, created by Drivetech instead.
If you’d like to register, please call on 03300530026 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with the following information:
- Name
- Email address (please note for multiple person applications at the same address, each applicant needs to provide a separate email address)
- Date of birth
- Full UK address (including postcode)
- UK mobile phone number
- Confirmation of which nationality licence you hold
- Confirmation of whether your licence is for manual or automatic cars. If it is both, please specify which type of transmission you would like for your lesson.
- Availability
- At the start of the course, you’ll need to show your licence to your driving instructor.
Please note in-car lessons will be conducted in English. Taking a third party in the car with you to translate is at the instructor’s discretion. The two-hour in-car course is funded by the AA Charitable Trust and is free.
